The Epi-Fluoresence Microscope is a modular imaging system developed in collaboration between openUC2 and Edmund Optics, combining the strengths of open-source cube-based hardware and high-quality commercial optics. Designed for flexibility and performance, this setup allows users to perform both epi-fluorescence and transmission brightfield imaging in a compact and accessible format. The system leverages openUC2’s modular electronics and cube-based design with carefully selected Edmund Optics components to deliver high-quality microscopy in teaching, prototyping, or research environments.
